Pony Tales is a group of friends born out of a love for horses and their proven help to those in need. Horses have made a huge impact on people's lives, by providing therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement as well as increasing self-confidence and self-esteem.
Pony Tales is committed in 2025 to fundraise for World Horse Welfare, to help improve equine welfare and strengthen the human/horse relationship, striving to help all horses including those in need. We have previously raised money for charities supporting children and adults dealing with the challenges of learning difficulties, physical disabilities or struggling with their mental health.
Our Charity - World Horse Welfare
World Horse Welfare is a charity that works to improve equine welfare by strengthening the horse-human relationship. We strive to help all horses including horses in need, horses in sport and leisure, and horses used for work and production.
In Britain, our four rescue and rehoming centres care for more than 300 horses, ponies and donkeys at any one time and our dedicated team of 16 Field Officers make over 2,500 initial and follow-up visits to welfare concerns reported by the public every year.
Our work and influence extend much further than the UK. Across the world, we improve the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules who help sustain the livelihoods of their owners. Throughout Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe we work with in-country partners who deliver skills training programmes in horse-owning communities, sharing knowledge and offering support.
By supporting Pony Tales, you are directly contributing to the wellbeing of the horses and ponies in the care of World Horse Welfare, ensuring they receive the specialist treatment and care they need and deserve.

This prestigious award, presented by Martin Clunes with HRH Princess Anne in attendance, is a true honour and a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team.

“For those of you that are or have been involved with horses whether it be riding, working with them or just looking after horses and ultimately lucky enough to own your pony or horse, then you will understand the profound effect it has on us and in the most incredible and unimaginable way.
From being incredibly lucky enough to own my own beautiful pony “Zara” and being fortunate to being around horses most days, I have brought together some wonderful friends in the horse world who have and continue to help raise money for various equine charities since 2023: the BHS “Changing Lives through Horses”, RDA (UK) and our charity for 2025 is the World Horse Welfare that works to improve equine welfare by strengthening the horse/human relationship, and strive to help all horses including horses in need, horses in sport and leisure, and horses used for work and production.”
