Charity Fundraiser Event August 2023

Enriching the lives of others

The Dorset Based Fundraising for The British Horse Society – “Changing Lives Through Horses” and Riding for the Disabled.

Fundraising at Pony Tales Dorset was established in January 2023 by founder Sophie Brunt with a passionate understanding of why we are involved in horses and how it makes us feel.

“For those of you that are or have been involved with horses, riding them, working with them or looking after horses you will understand the profound effect these animals have on us”

Inspired by the work at Bryanston School for the RDA and the BHS, Sophie developed the concept of Pony Tales Dorset fundraising for both charities, which support children and adults dealing with the challenges of learning difficulties, physical disabilities and/or struggling with their mental health.

With the support of a strong founding team Sophie has held several events all fundraising to achieve over £18,000 which will make a huge difference to people’s lives. Pony Tales Dorset will make such a difference by providing specialist equipment, a suitable horse/ pony, supporting volunteers with teaching time, encouraging young people to regain confidence and return to education, allowing access for all.

All monies raised will be donated to the RDA and BHS which will fund the RDA and Changing Lives Through Horses at Bryanston.

The most recent event following a very successful tack sale was the fun equestrian event day for riders and their horses which was held at Bryanston School, which included generously donated auction prizes by local companies towards the fundraising. The event had 15 riders and was kindly sponsored by Lester Brunt Wealth Management, Coane Construction, EPM Agency, Le Mieux, Aspirin Business, TB Photography, Supreme Freight, Vines House Parfum, Porsche of Bournemouth, , Simply Rugs, Elliot Brown Watches, Fitted Saddles, Wimborne Pig Restaurant, Dental On The Banks, WPA Healthcare to name a few.
